Louis P. Vescio,
Saginaw, Michigan.

Beloved father, grandfather and brother passed away Friday, August 11, 2023 at St. Francis Home. Age 93 years. Son of the late Ralph and Palma (Torchia) Vescio, Louis was born April 15, 1930 in Saginaw, Michigan. Louis served proudly in the U.S. Army from 1951 to 1953. He married Eileen A. Boensch, his loving wife of 67 years, on September 11, 1954. She predeceased him November 8, 2021. Louis was a member of St. Dominic Parish, SS peter & Paul Catholic Church. He was owner and operator of Vescio’s Grocery Store and also was employed at Michigan Food and Beverage Association for many years. He was a member of Saginaw Valley HAM Radio Club and Alliance to the Mentally Ill.

Surviving to cherish his memory are two daughters and two sons, Amy Hamather, Zionsville, Indiana; Vicki Vescio, Fenton; Paul and Shelly Vescio, Port Richie, Florida; Philip Vescio, Hudson, Florida; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; his sister, Mary Jean Platko; many nieces and nephews. Louis was preceded in death by his brother, Nicholas Vescio.

Honoring Mr. Vescio’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 18, 2023 at St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan, Saginaw, Michigan. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate. Interment of cremains will take place in St. Andrew Cemetery with Military Honors conducted by the U.S. Army and American Legion Post#439. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
