The special event station we ran at the Red Cross on June the
third to commemorate SVARA's 50th anniversary was a success. We
had lots of operators and loggers, good snacks and 107 QSO's in
the four hour time period we ran the stations. A lot of people
stopped by to watch and/or to participate. We ran 40 and 20
meters simultaneously mostly sideband with Joe, K8CQF, and
Keith, N8XD running some CW. We made a few contacts on 146.58,
but it was tough to operate two meters as we just didn't have
the room for three stations. So far I have sent out 29
certificates and QSL’s. Those of you who contacted the station;
send me (Dave, N8ERL) a QSL and I will get a certificate to you
(email me if you're not sure what time you made contact).
