Saginaw, Michigan.
Loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 at the Great Lakes Rehab Center, Saginaw. Age 87 years. Daughter of the late Richard and Amelia (Mertz) Boensch, Eileen was born April 27, 1934 in Saginaw, Michigan. She was married to Louis P. Vescio, her loving husband of 67 years, on September 11, 1954. He survives her. Eileen was a member of St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church and taught CCD for several years. She was also an active member of the Alliance to the Mentally Ill. Eileen was an office worker at Vescio’s Grocery Store. Eileen enjoyed camping, sewing, volunteer work in the community and especially spending time with her family.
Surviving besides her husband Louis are two daughters and two sons, Amy Hamather, Zionsville, Indiana; Vicki Vescio, Fenton; Paul and Shelly Vescio, Port Richie, Florida; Philip Vescio, Hudson, Florida; six grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; two sisters ,Helen Chernich, Saginaw; Judy and Ed Nowaczyk, Saginaw; many nieces and nephews. Eileen was preceded in death by two sisters and one brother, Cathryn Harmer, Loraine Sierocki, Richard Boensch.
Honoring Mrs. Vescio’s wishes cremation has taken place. A Funeral Liturgy will take place 11:00 a.m. Friday, November 12, 2021 at St. Dominic Parish, SS. Peter & Paul Catholic Church, 4735 W. Michigan, Saginaw. Rev. Fr. John R. Johnson will officiate with interment of cremains in St. Andrew Cemetery. Friends may visit at the church where the family will be present on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass.
