Holiday in the Heart of the City - Children's Zoo and Castle Museum, November 2010
At Christmas time we support the Saginaw County Children's zoo by offering  to send SantaGrams to Santa for young kids.  For more information click here.

MS Bavarian Breakaway Bike Race (September 25-26, 2010)
 This first event will be held at Frankenmuth Harvey Kern pavilion on Saturday September 25 and Sunday September 26.

Operators are need for one or two day assignments.  More information will follow.

Metro Youth Day (July 14, 2010)
 This annual event held at Belle Isle hosts over 18,000 youth from Metro Detroit for games, contests, entertainment, sports clinics, and lunch. Several local celebrities and over 900 volunteers are on hand to ensure that the event is a success.


Field Day (June 26-27, 2010)

Midland Dow Run - Saturday June 5, 2010
Several members of SVARA aided the Midland club in providing communications for their annual Dow Run.

Swan Valley Fun Run/Walk - Sunday May 16, 2010
SVARA participated in providing communications for a Run/Walk for Miss Julianne Windy.  Julianne was an outstanding teacher and coach at Swan Valley High School until a car accident 2007.  This was the first event and SVARA members help make it a success.

Frankenmuth, MS Walk (May 15, 2010) 
 SVARA regularly participates in the Frankenmuth Multiple Sclerosis Walk.  Amateur radio operators provide the communications between the race officials, aid stations, and vehicles.   The meeting place is now Kern Pavilion in Heritage Park 601 Weiss Street (not the school).  Check the MS-Walk page for more information, or contact Rick Schattilly (KC8VOA).

ARRL DX Contest (Saturday Mar 6, 2010) at the Red Cross
 Once again we operated from the Club radio station at the Red Cross for the ARRL DX Contest.

Hemmeter Hobby Fair (Saturday Jan 30 2010)
 This is the second year we will participate in the Hemmeter Hobby Fair at Hemmeter Elementary school.
North American QSO Party (Saturday Jan 16, 2010) at the Red Cross
 Once again we operated from the Club radio station at the Red Cross for the North American QSO Party Contest.
